The sword required approximately 90 hours of carving over two months. The majority of the work was completed by hand, with a Dremel tool used only to shape openings in the crosspiece and grip. Constructed in three parts, the blade extends through the crosspiece into the grip, forming a durable and stable structure.

Creating this piece pushed me to expand my craftsmanship, as I had never worked at this scale before. The vision lived in my mind for eight years before I finally felt called to bring it into form. It emerged exactly as I imagined, and I trust it will find the right steward—someone who will appreciate its beauty, intention, and spiritual resonance.

This Moroccan selenite blade radiated a profound sense of feminine energy throughout its creation, guiding me to dedicate it as a tool for channeling Divine Feminine power. The inspiration for this piece reaches back through history to the Onna-bugeisha—female Samurai warriors of Japan. These remarkable women, whose name translates to “women martial artists” or “female warriors,” played significant roles from the Heian period (794–1185) through the Edo period (1603–1868), embodying courage, discipline, and spiritual strength.

The grip of the sword is crafted from California soapstone, chosen for its natural beauty and unique character. Some areas of the stone are softer and display a deeper hue, which I intentionally preserved to enhance the sword’s sense of history and age.
